JOHN AGARD was probably the only son of widow Esther Agard or Egard, who was the 2d wife of the first Samuel Storrs, of Mansfield. The name of his father or ancestry we have not been able to trace. He came with his mother and father-in-law to Windham (now Mansfield) some time after 1691. He was b. before 1685. - "Hist Windham" Wil Journal

Assessed $834 on "Tax List or Assessment Roll of Pawlingstown in the County of Dutchess for the year 1801". The only reference of family members by name found thus far mentions Rachel as wife and a son, Martin Preston II, named after Timothy's father. - Preston Mt
From this same source we learn that Timothy moved away from Dover, first to Poughkeepsie and then to Washington. We do find him in Stanford in 1810 and in Washington in 1820. Son of Richard and Elizabeth. Note that this John is the only likely one found in Kent VR; still we cannot be certain he is recorded. Luna and others are given as children of John only, no mother named, and there is a marriage shown for John and [ ] in 1790 when this John would have been 24, making it more likely. - Kent VR
Another source shows the marriage of John to Sarah Stuart, with a ? signifying the name was difficult to read. We do find a Sarah, d. Nathan & Hannah, b. May 20, 1774. This birth date does not agree with the calculated YOB for Sarah "wife of John" buried in Bulls Bridge Cemetery however. - Kent VR
